Episode 32: Spiritual Relationships
Right relationships are where we find reality, and yet they seem to
be where the most problems are found. What is God’s way into right
and satisfying relationships? Is it possible to have right
relationships with all? It seems that this is where the enemy of
our soul works overtime and where problems abound on every hand.
Sin resulted in a broken relationship with God, but Christ died
that so that relationship could be restored. The effects of sin
permeate this world and affect every human relationship. In Christ
relationships are restored and brought back to God’s intention. Yet
to see the reality of this, we must avail of the full grace of God
in Christ Jesus. How do we do this?
• The result of sin is a broken relationship with God
o All of us begin separated from God
o The gospel is the way that relationship is restored
• The effects of sin are seen in broken relationships with
men
o The struggle is most often seen first in the family
o Godly parents are the key to right family relationships
o Challenges in relationships are to be expected in
mankind
• The family of God is where spiritual relationships are
established
o Relationships are now not natural but spiritual (2 Cor.
5:16)
o We see others as “members of Christ” (I Cor. 12:27)
o Spiritual relationships are according to “life” not
“understanding”
o The effects of sin in all of us make the relationships
challenging
• What are the essential elements to establishing right
relationships?
o I as an individual must be in union with Christ by the
Spirit
o I am allowing Jesus to change me in every relationship
o A Godly care (love) for others in my heart (Rom. 5:1-5)
o When a relationship is not right, do we have spiritual
discernment why?
o If we see the root problem, do we have God’s wisdom in what
to do?
o Are we holding “truth” in “love”
All spiritual Reality is found in Right Relationships
