Episode 38 Waiting on God
The world rushes madly on, pressing us to keep up with the demands
of modern life. We want instant food, instant solutions, instant
success, and of course with all of that, instant spirituality. We
know there is no such thing, and we know that “those who wait upon
the Lord shall renew their strength.” But what does it really mean
to wait on God, and why is it so important? In the New Covenant,
everything is built around an expanding revelation of Jesus Christ.
For Christ to be revealed to us, in us, and through us, we must
learn to wait on God. No matter how much life pushes us, we must
not allow this intimate place with God to be pushed aside if we are
going to finish the race triumphantly. Today we want to be
encouraged in this all important discipline of life.
• Waiting on God—our source of strength (Isaiah 40:31)
• Revealing Christ to us

o Christ is God revealed in the flesh (Col. 1:15-18)
o Christ is Lord of lords—all authority (Matt. 28:18-20)
o Christ is revealed as He abides within by the Spirit (John
14:15-26)
• Revealing Christ in us (Gal. 1:15-17)
o Christ formed in us (Gal. 4:19)
o Love and obedience is the way (John 14:15)
o Dealing with God is not simple (Heb. 12:3-11)
• Revealing Christ through us
o Our message is Christ
o As Christ is formed in us, we become the message
o We must labor according to His plan (I Cor. 3:9-15)
o The plan of God in Christ comes by way of revelation (Eph.
1:15-21)
o Preparation as a vessel that God can use takes time
